We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and eager to learn candidate to help at our summer pop up in the Seaport at The Current. Ideal candidates will have experience working in a retail environment, outstanding communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
Open and close on assigned work days; perform opening and closing tasks
Check out customers using our POS system; wrap up purchases and bag accordingly - this includes gift wrapping for gift purchases
Assisting customers with product questions & making recommendations to increase daily sales
Receive, unpack and ticket new inventory
Maintain a clean and organized storefront throughout the day
Help to maintain merchandising as it pertains to store standards and guidelines
Perform shift cleaning responsibilities; including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces and countertops and any other organizational projects that pop up
Take thorough notes and communicate back to store owner; this includes but is not limited to customer requests, shipments, visitors (ie landlord, sales reps), etc.
Proactively merchandise and backfill shelves; keep the store looking fresh
Requirements:
Retail/sales experience is a must
Availability; must be available for shift hours and available to work evenings (until 7pm), Saturdays & Sundays and holidays. *Note you will not be scheduled for every weekend but at least 4-6 weekend days per month.
